Hands-on With Gatlinburg Artisans

Paint brushes, arts and crafts

Gatlinburg simply blossoms with the arrival of springtime, evidenced by the proliferation of purple wildflower turning up all over town. It’s also the time when our community of skilled artisans and craftspeople begin to cut and shape the gifts your family can’t wait to bring home. The 2017 Hands On Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Weekend provides just such an opportunity to own a beautiful piece of handmade work, with more than 15 artists’ studios in the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community participating. For this special weekend these men and women will host more than 40 fun instructional classes, imparting a generation of their knowledge to you. Best of all, festival attendees are encouraged to safekeep whatever they produce in the classroom. Jump into an abundant catalogue of do-it-yourself daytime courses, which are sure to cover everything from soap and candle-making, knitting and crochet, jewelry design, ceramic pottery, watercolor painting, and so much more.
