A Bright Gatlinburg Christmas

Wood Cabin with Christmas Lights in the snow

Decked with lights throughout the entire holiday season, Gatlinburg draws inspiration from its community of local artists.

December 2nd @ 7:30 pm

Gatlinburg’s Fantasy of Lights Parade is holiday tradition, this year surpassing its 41st anniversary. Families crowd the streets for this terrific parade. Marshaled by the University of Tennessee’s Lady Vols basketball team and Coach Holly Warlick, a train of glowing floats, marching bands, decorated horses, and huge balloons will be on display. Over a full mile in length, the parade begins downtown and winds its way through the streets.

Through December 4th

Gatlinburg is renowned for its Arts and Crafts Loop, a collective of artisans and craftspersons, making up the largest such community in the country. Families are encouraged to check out this unique gift buying experience, the Great Smoky Mountains Arts & Crafts Show. Objects of simple beauty and sophistication will be available to take home, such as old-fashioned candles, exquisite quilts, and leather goods to name a few.
