Bringing Back The Feeling Of Fall

My mom grew up on a farm and then moved to a city when she was 18. When she saw the fall décor in downtown Gatlinburg, all her farm memories came flooding back. The corn stalks tied to light poles especially touched her. The hay bales and the pumpkins made her sing, like Celine Dion, “It’s all coming back to me now.”

Gatlinburg may be a city by definition, but the atmosphere downtown during October is definitely reminiscent of farms in the countryside. Apple cider flows freely in most sweet shops. If glazed apples are more your thing, don’t worry! They have plenty of them, too.

For a quick bite to eat, we highly recommend the pizza made by our friends at New York Pizza, inside the Mountain Mall. Ask for a side of their garlic knots, too.
