Motown Comes Down to Tennessee

Musician.jpg

A combination of motor and town, Motown was founded in 1959 by Berry Gordy Jr. The first African American-owned record company to enjoy enormous success across racial barriers, Motown brought America some of the most fun and memorable songs of the 20th century. At the Grand Majestic Theater, just a short 20-minute drive from our hotel, you can be transported back to the heyday of Motown fever with Soul of Motown, an unforgettable theatrical homage to many of the greatest voices that ever graced the stage or recording studio. You’ll be treated to hits by The Drifters, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, The Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross and the Supremes, and many, many more. So head over to Pigeon Forge for one of the multiple weekly shows running continuously through December, and wear comfortable shoes because, when you hear these hits, you’ll have no choice but to jump up and dance along.
