Ober Gatlinburg Summer Activities
When you stand in front of Ripley’s Aquarium, you can see Anakeesta’s Chondolas slowly inching their way up and down the mountain. That is not the ski resort in Gatlinburg. Anakeesta, the newest attraction in Gatlinburg, is for the brave who love nature, views, botanical gardens, ziplining, and aerial walkways and suspended bridges. At the top, you can eat really well, too, at several restaurants.
Ober Gatlinburg is the ski resort in Gatlinburg and you can find it on Ski Mountain Road – a right at Light #10, if you are coming from Pigeon Forge.
If you wanted to park in town and ride the Ober Aerial Tramway, then you have to drive around lights #7-#9 and look for the best parking suitable for your family in that block.
Right now, Ober provides lots of fun away from the ski slopes. This is a four-season resort. During the summer months, one can still iceskate and play in the ice bumper cars at Ober though. Outside, you could also ride the mountain coaster or the alpine slides, play mini-golf, enjoy the water rides, no swimsuit needed, or try the Amaze’N Maze, among other things.
