Spectacular Summertime Events

american flag and fireworks

Come to Gatlinburg this month for four fabulously fun and traditional July events: our July 4th Midnight Parade, the Gatlinburg River Raft Regatta, an Independence Day fireworks finale, and the ever-popular Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair. Our spectacular parade is also a tribute to our military personnel, veterans, and heroes. Bands start marching and the floats begin rolling at 12:01 p.m. on July 4. Later in the day, head over to the Christ in the Smokies Bridge on the Little Pigeon River at noon for the annual Gatlinburg River Raft Regatta.

This unmanned floating objects race is one of the highlights of the city’s July 4th celebration, with a finish line at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. Next, join us for a dazzling fireworks finale at 10:00 p.m. in the heart of downtown, and be sure to arrive well in advance at the area of traffic lights #3 and #5 for the best views. Finally, don’t miss the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair at the Gatlinburg Convention Center on July 12-21. You can browse hundreds of vendor booths and watch live demonstrations by gifted artisans creating an array of items.
