Treat Dad to a Special Father’s Day in the Smokies

Tunes and Tales Musical Performers

This year, why not give Dad something he'll cherish forever and surprise him with a Smoky Mountain staycation? The scenic splendor of the mountains in June make Father’s Day prime time for visiting, and there is something to suit even the most particular tastes right here in beautiful Gatlinburg and the surrounding area. Dad can golf, fish in national park streams, go mountain-biking or zip-lining, and enjoy all that downtown has to offer, such as Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales, the popular semi-annual event held this summer from June 22 – August 11.

Every Friday and Saturday evening, musicians, artisans, and various street performers in period costumes will enact portrayals of characters from as far back as 1800. An entertaining, interactive, and educational experience, Tunes and Tales explores the rich cultural heritage of the Smokies and its people. Additionally, there are dozens of other shows, and local/regional attractions abound. Check out the Titanic Museum, the Farmer’s Market, Dollywood, or one of several local escape rooms. No matter what Dad likes, he’ll find much to love right here in Gatlinburg. For more information, call (800) 588-1817.
